It was snowing heavily outside the headquarters building of the Canadian TV channel C.N.T.V. Inside, Veronica was giving an interview regarding the genetic manipulation issue. Upon returning from the commercials, the reporter asked her the following question:

It’s the best thing that ever happened to us! I don’t understand why there are always people who want to ruin everything. Let the world move forward and if you don’t like it, go back to your caves and live like Neanderthals. The second generations are showing the way. The righteous path of humanity and there is nothing more beautiful than justice.
― Okay, yes, to be honest, I see it that way too, but tell me, can I ask you one more question? —asked the kindly Canadian reporter shyly. Veronica was quick to respond:

As you may have already heard today, one must be over eighteen years of age to have a pregnancy. Women who do not abide by the law will be imprisoned, forced to have an abortion, and have their ovaries removed. Veronica looked out at the audience and answered:
―Well, the truth is that everything new is shocking. We are animals of routine. We are used to certain things and we don’t like change. But I sincerely believe that this law has a very good intention. Children should be raised by adults. Children should be conceived by mature people. A fifteen-year-old girl does not have the capacity to be a mother, because she is still a child in a certain sense. In any case, I agree with the new law.
